Hey you

Well, it's now just over two weeks into things, and I think I'm getting the hang of this sleeping/waking thing. Mummy and daddy are really pleased to only be having to get up twice in the night, and I do love sleeping quite a lot. Sometimes Mummy gets frustrated because I sleep too long and she says her boobs feel like they're going to pop! Lucky I'm a bit of a greedy guts, cos I generally sort that out pretty quickly when she lets me at it.

The midwife who's been visiting was very pleased with my progress (look at me go) - I've put on 400g in a week, which is apparently quite a lot! Mummy is worried I'm growing up really fast, but I'm still only two weeks old for crying out loud!

I've gotten Daddy on his toes when it comes to nappy changing time - what fun! Last week I waited til he'd taken my nappy off and wiped my bum, and then I fired a great big stream of poo right off the end of the change table and all over mummy's feeding chair! Ha! I think he's gotten wise to the other version of this trick when he's burping me though, cos now he has a cloth on his shoulder after I was sick on him three times in a row.

I've decided I really like baths now, and have been having a great time lying in all that lovely warm water. Daddy says I'm just like Oliver was, but now he's a big splashy boy so he's not allowed to have his bath with me yet. Another great trick though - tonight I got daddy a good one by waiting to have a wee until he'd picked me up out of the bath. That'll teach him to avoid the sicks!

Anyway, must dash. You know how it is, burping to be done, poos to make...
Love,
Lucy

Why hello there!

Hi, I'm Lucy. As at right now I'm 12 hours shy of being a week old, so my deepest apologies for having taken so long to get this blog up and running.

It's been a pretty hectic week really, starting with being rudely pulled out of mummy's tummy. I can tell you now, when I get old enough to talk I'll be having words with mummy about this! There I was, all happy and comfy, and mummy goes and gets a surgeon to come and evict me! Talk about sending someone else to do your dirty work.

I gave mummy and daddy a few things to think about in the first couple of days by being really sweet and sleepy, just a trick really to pay them back for that surgeon thing. Once I came home and my big brother Ollie was in the house, I really gave them what for with the crying and stuff. I think daddy was a bit worried there was something wrong, so I gave him lots of nice cuddles to reassure him.

I'm quite keen on my big brother, although he is a bit of a ruffian. He seems to like me too, and gives me lots of kisses which I do enjoy. He doesn't even wake up when I cry in the night, and mummy and daddy think he's pretty clever for that.

Anyway, I'm off to have a feed with mummy now. I'll write again next week and update you on what's happening in my little Lucy world.

Love,
Lucy =)
